Need to get on track

I have been slacking big time. I have been maintaining that 199-201 weight for sometime now. I use to run at night, but it has been too hot and my schedule too full.

I need to get up early and get my run on! Not sure if Cameron and Ron are still paving the trail?

What UP?

Just checking in. . .
Rhett and I left the kids and just him and I went camping over the weekend, it was really nice. We did a lot of 4-wheeling, 150 miles in 2 days, and a ton of relaxing. We left Thursday afternoon, so I didn't weigh in until this morning.
I weighed in at 156.4
I was very happy about that, I haven't followed the plan that I set up on my last post. I ran twice last week and we went spinning only once. I think I was totally kidding myself thinking I would get two workouts in a day 3 days a week. Wishful thinking. . . life is toooooo busy!!!! I have tried to be very careful with my eating. . . but didn't cut out sweets either. Summer is VERY hard!!!
We have Rhett's family reunion this week in Stanley, we are having a family 5k run on Friday. Natalie is in charge of the reunion this year and their family are huge runners, even the kids! It should be. . . very competetive to say the least, hope we all survive!!!! Then we are staying a couple extra days while Rhett and Blake go to scout camp at Camp Bradley. It should be fun!
Then the next weekend is my 20 year class reunion. . . the biggest reason I started all this!!!! Thanks for your motivation! I am feeling great! (so much better than if I was headed to see high school friends 37 pounds heavier!!!!!!)

Stuck!

So I didn't post last week, but there wasn't a lot to report unfortunately. We have been running 3 days a week and spinning on the other days. Since we have been running outside I haven't been lifting weights and I can tell I need to get back to doing that. I am going to try to start catching a class at the gym later in the day starting next week (we'll see how that goes). I hope if I try to get in cardio everyday and weights 3 days a week for the next 2-3 weeks hopefully I can drop 3-5 pounds before my 20 year class reunion on the 31st. Oh and of course I will have to go back to no sweets during that! That seems to be the only thing that gets the scale moving for me! So I am going to hit that on Monday - this weekend we are off camping to the big Judy Reunion!
So for my numbers:
Last Friday I weighed in at 159.6 which was up from the week before, not terrible, but still up.
This morning I was back at 158.4 which is where I was on my last post, hence my title today - Stuck!

A Great Accomplishment!!!!

This past Saturday was the day designated for the big 15 mile run. I must admit that I was pretty nervous about it before hand. I usually feel ready to run but it was tough all week last week for some reason. I had it set up to run with Earl and Jason Spain. We met up around 6:30 in the morning to start the fun. Earl and Jason both run fast than I do but stayed back. Earl had never run that far either and was a bit unsure as well. Earl ran 13.1 miles without stopping. I ran around 13 without stopping and Jason stopped with me to coach me along. I hit a wall hard and my legs felt like rubber. I walked an ran the rest of the 15 miles. It took me and Earl 2:45.14 for the 15 miles. I think Earl said he did the 13.1 miles in 2:10 or 2:15. I was probably 3 min or so behind that. The last 2 miles were hard!!!!! I have a new respect for anyone running a marathon. I did before but now I really do! Thanks Earl and Jason for pulling me along the last couple of miles.
As for the weight loss, I weighed in at 238 before the run and 233 after. Lets say I am at 235 for now. That is slow going but I am still feeling much better. I am sore from the run still. I ran this morning but it was not easy. Still trying to run a 5k three days a week. I finished this morning in 27.46 min. I think I can do it a bit faster but I was sore!
Bec is doing and looking great. She stayed home and painted the living room instead of running with us on Saturday. She did "ladders" all day. She is feeling very frustrated about her weight. She is hovering around the 160 mark and is going crazy. She keeps talking about liposuction but is just kidding I am sure!
Bec ran today also and is working on improving her times running but is being pretty cautious to make sure she doesn't injure herself.
Thanks everyone for your support! Keep up the good work! Claudine and Rhett, you guys are looking amazing! Earl is going to have to get a new suit soon for his new Bishop calling! Keep it up!

Home Again!

Well I survived Girls Camp. We did an awesome hike in Yellowstone Park to Bunson Peak. It was about 5 miles, but it was a steep incline the entire way up. My knee was pretty sore coming back down. It has been nice to give it a rest for a week, but back to working out in the morning. I tried to be careful with my portions all week and limited myself to one dessert per day. We had camp cooks this year. Two single ladies in our ward that live together, and oh boy, can they cook!!! Every meal was incredible, and there was dessert at every meal too. We had a little walk from the bunkhouse to the cook house I had to walk several times a day, but that was the extent of my exercise the whole week.

Rhett and the boys brought up the trailer and we stayed up camping until last night. I was very nervous, but got on the scale this morning! I don't know how but I weighed in at 158.4

So I told Rhett maybe I should quite exercising and eat dessert everyday!! No, just kidding! I will be back at it tomorrow! Have a good one! Oh and I saw on Facebook you were released Cameron! Enjoy sitting by your family on Sundays!!

Another Week!

Glad you are back Earl! Glad you had a great trip. Can't wait to see the pictures and hear your stories! We missed you really bad and only ran once ourselves! We did walk another day though. We are going to start doing a track workout one of our days this week. It is something we saw in our "Runners World" magazine and our friend Jason was talking about. It is supposed to help build endurance. We will see. I mapped out a long run for next Saturday, 15 miles. Meeting at 6 A.M by the park. Everyone is welcome to come. I am sure I will be bringing up the rear so don't worry about slow you think you are!
I got on the scale this afternoon, morning was dedicated to mowing lawns before it got too hot! Weigh in was 233.8 lbs. Bec was too busy and didn't get on the scale. She looks great and is planning on running 6 miles on Saturday. Have a great week everyone!

Back from Vacation

Well my vacation was awesome! I only managed to run once :-( Since we were up every morning by 6:30 and in bed every night about 12-1 am, I just did not have the energy to get up earlier and get a run in. Plus my feet hurt most days even with the good Asics I wore.

Since we did a lot of walking and I drank as much water as possible, I didn't really watch what or how much I was eating. I did step on the scale at 201.8 this morning. So I went a little backward, but I was afraid it was going to be worse. If I was a little more disciplined on the food, I probably would have lost weight by walking alone.

The good thing is that I missed running. I am looking forward to getting in my runs this week. Hopefully I can get back under 200 quickly and start working on my next goal of 195.

Way to go everyone - successes is in each stride. Way to go Claudine on the race!

Cameron you are catching me...

Glad the frequent eating is working for Rebecca. It seems counter intuitive. It is like a fire you keep burning and that water is going to clear everything out.
